One of summer’s best traditions is joining your fellow WCE members in the Evanston Fourth of July Parade. Our goal is to have at least 20 women representing our club and walking in this year’s parade--themed “Seeds of Change”. The WCE has been a catalyst for change in Evanston since 1889! Walk in the parade and help us promote our wonderful WCE. Bring your family or a friend to join us!

We are ready to help community children get ready for our Back to School drive from July 22 through August 9. WCE is again helping C/24 Fathers Arms in Rogers Park and ESSCA to collect items for local children starting school in August.
C/24 Fathers Arms asks for the following to help 200 local children prepare for school:
600 two prong, two pocket folders (3 per student)
400 College Ruled spiral bound notebooks (2 per student)
Please order from the following Amazon wish list so that the folders and notebooks ship to our clubhouse.
Members may also purchase the same items locally and drop off at the clubhouse starting on July 22.
Instead of packing items at the clubhouse, WCE members will be asked to volunteer to pack backpacks on 8/17 near the C/247 Father’s Arms location. A signup will be available soon.
ESSCA asks that we continue to provide duffle bags for the children to carry their items home with dignity. This year, we are going to increase the number of duffel bags to 500.
Please order from the following Amazon wish list so that the bags are delivered directly to the ESSCA location.
