The Woman’s Club of Evanston – Building Community, Friendship and Leaders
More than 125 years ago, a group of visionary women formed The Woman’s Club of Evanston to address pressing social issues and unmet community needs. Since 1889, the WCE has been a transformative community force, volunteering thousands of hours and making hundreds of financially significant philanthropic grants. Each year, WCE members raise and contribute more than $150,000 and 15,000 hours of volunteer service to local, not-for-profit organizations. With a vibrant community of nearly 400 multi-generational members, the WCE continues to shape the future of service and philanthropy in Evanston and surrounding communities.
