Overview

Community Outreach is an umbrella for all of our contributions to the community, making volunteer opportunities available and determining the most impactful way to distribute funds raised by other committees.
  • The Community Outreach Committee manages and coordinates our ongoing volunteer projects with partner agencies (such as with Evanston School Children's Clothing Association (ESCCA) and First Presbyterian's Soup Kitchen) as well as our recurring annual outreach projects including the Family Focus/Housing Opportunities for Women Holiday Gift Drives and the MLK Day of Service.
  • The Contributions subcommittee carefully selects the recipients for the charitable funds raised by the club. Committee members evaluate grant applications submitted by area non-profits.
  • Every April, the Dreams Delivered subcommittee transforms our clubhouse into a very special prom boutique by providing new and nearly new formal dresses, accessories and shoes free of charge to Evanston Township High School and other students.
  • Members of the Sewing Circle subcommittee meet monthly to sew aromatherapy "hearts" for babies in the NICU at local hospitals, as well as other projects based on community needs.
