Join Evanston‘s DIME (Dance Is My Everything) for an upbeat evening! This will be a beginner (aka easy to follow along) dance class/party that is high energy, but no dance experience required! Members are invited to the Clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. for social time and dance instruction will begin around 7 p.m. Healthy snacks and beverages will be served.

We would love to pack the Clubhouse, so we aren‘t limited in space, but would greatly appreciate RSVPs to best plan for snacks.

Prospective members welcome!

Join Downtown Evanston, The Woman‘s Club of Evanston and Brightview Landscaping on Sunday, April 21, from 12-2PM for an Earth Day Clean-Up event aimed at fostering community engagement and environmental stewardship. Individuals, families, office groups, students, etc. are all encouraged to lend a hand in making our downtown business district a cleaner and more welcoming place to live, work and visit! Participants will gather at Fountain Square to get outfitted with gloves, bags and maps before heading out in small groups to pick-up litter and debris along assigned corridors within the Downtown Evanston business district. When finished, participants will bring the trash bags back to Fountain Square for disposal. A special thanks to Brightview Landscaping for providing the clean-up supplies and for removing all trash collected during the event. Volunteers who pre-register below and make it to the clean-up event on 4/21 will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Evanston Gift Card, courtesy of Downtown Evanston! On Thursday, April 25, members will gather to discuss Ann Patchett’s most recent best-selling novel Tom Lake. In the spring of 2020, Lara’s three daughters return to the family‘s orchard in Northern Michigan. While picking cherries, they beg their mother to tell them the story of Peter Duke, a famous actor with whom she shared both a stage and a romance years before at a theater company called Tom Lake. As Lara recalls the past, her daughters examine their own lives and relationships with their mother, and they are forced to reconsider the world and everything they thought they knew. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks/treats to share and wine is always welcome!
