Tuesday, September 10 anytime between 3 and 8 PM
Cost: Museum admission is FREE on Tuesdays. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
3:00 PM: Meet Jan and Maureen on the front steps of the museum for a self-guided tour of MCA’s art.
4:00 PM: Enjoy the special exhibit by Virgil Abloh “Figures of Speech” On Tuesdays, reservations for groups can only be made in person on the day of the event. We will make the reservation for our group. so we need a head count in advance by Friday, September 6th. Please don’t purchase your own ticket.** Meet Jan and Maureen at the entrance to the exhibit.
5:00 PM: Meet Jan and Maureen in the Anne and John Kern Terrace Garden for the jazz concert from 5:30-8:00 PM, featuring the Julius Tucker Trio. If we are all there early, we should be able to get a spot together. We will try to get a table, but feel free to bring a blanket or rent chairs ($5) for the lawn.
Alcohol and light dinner are available from the Upper Terrace and Garden menus or you can opt to dine indoors at MCA’s Marisol restaurant, which is open until 10:00 (but order by 9:30).
